Patriot Tour Flag Escort Day 1

Event date:
Wed, 08/27/2025 - 11:00am to 2:00pm

Nation of Patriots - The Patriot Tour

Please join us Wednesday 8/27 and Thursday 8/28 - for anyone retired or able to play hooky!  We are honored to support 2 legs of The Patriot Tour's journey of an American Flag across America - all 48 states and being flown to AK and HI - while in the posession of veterans the entire time.

Wednesday's riders (HOG closed ride - members plus 1 guest per member) depart from HRHD (KSU 11 am) for a flag ceremony at Colonial Williamsburg where we will receive the flag.  Members and the general public can meet at HRHD for an arrival ceremony of the flag and enjoy lunch compliments of HRHD.  Please arrive at 1 pm for the 1:30 pm ceremony and lunch.  Larry from Nation of Patriots will be joining us at our regular dinner ride Wednesday evening (KSU from HRHD at 6 pm for Poquoson Diner) and the touring American Flag will come with us for a photo op.  A couple members asked if they can donate to Nation of Patriots so I've asked Larry to have a no obligation collection option available at the dinner Wednesday evening.  He pointed out that 100% of donations go to disabled veterans in need because they seek sponsors to cover any administrative costs they have.

Thursday's riders (HOG closed ride - members pus 1 guest per member) depart from Wawa Grafton (KSU 9:30 am) for a flag ceremony and complimentary lunch at SSHD at 12 noon.  There will be a stop at the Isle of Wight Veteran's Memorial and a rest stop (or two).

Visit their website to track the flag (in Whiteford, MD tonight) or learn more about the charity's work in supporting disabled veterans.
